Howl is a talented wizard, one of the main characters in the Howl's Moving Castle film, animated by Studio Chibli. When he was young, he was taken into tutelage by Suliman, who helped to reveal his natural gift for magic. Once, Howl caught one of the shooting stars, Calcifer, and made a deal with him. He gave his heart to this creature, allowing Calcifer to live and boosting his own magical power. Many people suggested that Howl is only interested in beautiful, young women whose hearts he may steal, however, this character is also a kind and intelligent person.
