Ailurus

Ailurus, also known as the red panda or lesser panda, is a small, cute mammal that lives in the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. The name "red panda" was officially mentioned in 1825, but their ancestors first appeared about 250,000 years ago. Their fur has a reddish-brown shade with black stains on the belly and legs and white-lined ears. They are well adapted to climbing to find food.
