Streetwear is street style clothing, a special kind of street fashion. It has its roots in the culture of surfers and skateboarders on the west coast of California, later expanding and incorporating elements of hip-hop fashion, Japanese street fashion, and high fashion from couture.
As with many other cultural movements that came from the bottom, the time of the emergence of the concept of street style clothes is difficult to determine. Street style is constantly evolving in terms of style and creative content, as well as other street trends, concentrating on everyday, comfortable clothing: jeans, T-shirts, caps, and sneakers.
