As you have noticed, the creature from our Thanksgiving Day Owl and Acorn cursor pack became the non-official mascot of the holiday. Maybe it came from the Harry Potter series? Or was it before these books? It is an interesting question. But more interesting is that acorns used to be a part of Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah, back before pilgrims and celebrations of food and football, at least 12 native California tribes depended on the acorns of coast live oaks and considered them a staple.
